John Flagler
John Flagler has been a proud resident of Haverford since 2018. He and his wife are raising four children, all of whom are current or future students in the Haverford School District. With over a decade of experience as a high school English teacher, currently with the School District of Philadelphia, John brings firsthand knowledge of public education to the table.
In addition to his work in the classroom, John is deeply involved in the Haverford community—he has served as head coach for several Haverford tournament baseball teams and has 18 years of experience coaching youth baseball. As an educator, John is passionate about collaborative learning and the importance of social-emotional wellness. He believes strong public schools are the foundation of strong communities—communities that value engagement, equity, and inclusivity. As a school board member, John will be committed to upholding Haverford’s tradition of academic excellence while ensuring that every student is seen, supported, and empowered. He is ready to be a thoughtful advocate for all Haverford School District stakeholders.
Dr. Latanya S. H. King
Dr. Latanya King has been a proud resident of Haverford Township for nearly 20 years and is the parent of two school-age children who are active in local sports. Her diverse career spans psychotherapy, higher education, human factors research, and business administration. She currently serves as President of the Haverford Township School Board and is seeking reelection for a second term.
Throughout her service, Dr. King has been a strong advocate for children and families across the township. Her priorities on the board have centered on advancing policies, practices, and curricula that promote inclusive learning environments and ensure equitable access to educational resources. She has dedicated much of her time to the Policy Committee and the Curriculum & Pupil Services Committee, while also contributing in other leadership roles. Dr. King holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and brings both academic expertise and a deep personal commitment to fostering student success in every classroom.
Dr. Kimberly McKay
Dr. Kimberly McKay brings 25 years of experience as a social worker and has served on the Haverford School Board for the past four years. Dr. McKay is seeking the opportunity to continue serving the community with a second term. In addition to her work on the board, Dr. McKay teaches full-time in higher education, specializing in social work practice and policy analysis. During her first term, she contributed to multiple committees, including the Curriculum & Pupil Services Committee, Finance & Facilities Committee, and Policy Committee. Dr. McKay also served as the board’s representative to the district’s Wellness Committee and liaison to the Delaware County Legislative Council and Delaware County Community College.
Dr. McKay values a whole child approach for learning that includes academic achievement, belonging, social-emotional wellness, and inclusivity for all learners. Dr. McKay is a strong advocate for inclusive, equitable public education and is dedicated to building strong partnerships between the district and the community to continue to strengthen Haverford Township public education.
Nicole Snyder
Nicole Snyder has lived in Haverford Township for the past eight years, where she and her husband are raising their four children—all of whom attend schools in the Haverford School District. With a Master’s Degree in Special Education and over 15 years of experience in education and nonprofit leadership, Nicole currently serves as the Assistant Director of Donor Relations at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation, where she focuses on donor engagement and advancing values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Her deep commitment to community service is reflected in her active involvement with volunteer initiatives supporting children and families across Greater Philadelphia. Nicole is dedicated to promoting equity, academic excellence, and meaningful growth opportunities for every student in Haverford Township. A collaborative and compassionate leader, she is ready to listen, lead, and serve the community she calls home.
